Back to British
Following a very unsuccessful trip to Sunbury, (which consisted of: at least 20 mins putting spraydeck on - one reason not to paddle alone; just 3 surfs before getting off - it was relatively cold, I didn't want to get my head wet; and finished with a really scary cag-moment in the car park - another reason not to paddle alone) I had a slightly more successful trip to Devon at the w/e, although not perfect water we had a couple of good runs on the Upper Dart and caught up with friends that I hadn't seen for a while.
Obviously, whilst I was in Devon, Shepperton was, once again, at perfect levels. Needless to say it had dropped off when I was available for paddling on Tuesday. So, I visited Hurley, which although is generally a fantasic place to be, is always so depressingly slow after being on the Nile. It wasn't however, a perfect level so hopefully next time it will seem much better. I did, though, do my first cartwheels and loops since beginning of December, thankfully I still remember how.
